Light a fire at breakfast time

Sometimes it helps to think of your metabolism as a flame. After a night’s rest, a fire that was once roaring has burned up and turned to ash. Your metabolism does the same; while you sleep it putters out and by morning it needs to be started again. To get the fire going again you need to feed embers i.e. eat breakfast. Revving up your metabolism early means it will work for you all day.

Stock up on Sundays

If you have a busy schedule and feel it’s hard to find time to cook during the workweek use Sunday as your get-ahead day. Make a couple of dishes you can portion out, package up, and save. Instead of having to go restaurants or relying on frozen foods you’ll come home to a home cooked meal every night!

Ditch the daiquiri

Fruity cocktails may taste great- but you can be sure they’ll add inches to your waist. The mixers in drinks such as pina coladas and daiquiris jack up the calories causing you to surpass your calorie limits before you even sit down to dinner! A 16-ounce pina colada will cost you 880 calories. Instead of these cocktail culprits try a simple vodka soda or a glass of red wine. You’ll thank yourself the next time you put on your skinny jeans.
